About The Conference

Fourth Industrial Revolution combines the strength of optimized industrial manufacturing with a range of new technologies not only in the digital realm (such as artificial intelligence) but also in the physical realm (new materials and sensors), as well as the biological realm (bio-engineering). Industrial production these days is driven by global competition and the need for quick adaptation of production to the continuously changing market requirements. These requirements can only be met by thorough improvements in current manufacturing technology. Fourth Industrial Revolution describes the merger of digital and physical workflows. In production, this means that the physical production steps are accompanied by computer-based processes. It is about integration of the business and manufacturing processes, as well as integration of all stakeholders in the company’s value chain. Fourth Industrial Revolution has opened new trends of automation, ecommerce, and cyber-physical systems. Internet of Things (IoT) has played a major role in realization of Fourth Industrial Revolution by communicating and cooperating with humans in real time, collecting environmental and behavioral data, and making decisions autonomously, in order to provide required services.

The First International Conference on Fourth industrial revolution (IC4IR) will provide a platform for researchers and industry specialists to exchange their ideas and views about the growing fields that lead to Fourth Industrial Revolution. This conference will offer a great opportunity to the researchers to exchange new results and challenges about modern information and communication technologies, Internet of Things, Big Data and Cloud Computing. The conference will provide a platform for increasing productivity and cooperation within various industrial sectors and service providers. IC4IR is a joint event organized by NED University and Badar Expo and will be held at Expo Center Karachi. Extended versions of selected papers will be published in HEC recognized  X category journal.
